DC/DC Converters for On-board and Trackside Railway Applications

Over the years, RECOM has expanded its portfolio of DC/DC converters for the railway industry from 3W up to 240W to offer one of the market’s broadest portfolios of EN50155-certified products.

RECOM‘s wide range of regulated DC/DC converters are specially designed for railway applications with 4:1, 10:1, or even 12:1 input voltage ranges. The modules are EN50155 certified* and with CE mark for use in the demanding rolling stock environment as well as in harsh industrial and trackside applications. With an efficiency of up to 93%, cooling by natural convection is typically all that is needed, but pre-mounted heatsinks are also available if required. The RECOM‘s high voltage and high current evaluation platforms for its DC/DC railway converters come equipped with a RIA12 surge stopper.
