Advanced Protection Features of the RACPRO1-4SP e-Fuse
The solution is the RACPRO1-4SP electronic fuse (e-Fuse), which is a quad channel electronic load switch that provides individually settable current limits on each output channel, can handle short-term inrush and overload currents safely without tripping, and securely disconnects a load under fault conditions such as sustained overcurrent or short circuits. Real-time load current indicators, selectable start-up delay, individual channel on/off control, DC OK output and an intelligent hiccup function simplifies commissioning and fault finding.
The RACPRO1-4SP series are available with either 5A or 10A per output channel and with a 150% power boost to handle inrush currents and reduce unnecessary tripping, even with capacitive loads of more than 20mF. Fault recovery can be set between automatic or latching with remote reset. An UVLO function ensures that the e-Fuse only starts up when the 24V supply voltage is within range. The e-Fuses can be used with any 24V DC power supply, but RECOM offers matching RACPRO DIN rail mounting power supplies from 120W up to 960W, with either single phase or three phase AC input.
