Today I want to introduce you to a demonstrator for the new RECOM
RAC05-05SK/C14. Basically, it is this small unit here, and what this does is it takes a mains input and gives you five volts directly out. It looks like a mains filter, but it's actually a complete power supply.
To demonstrate how it works, I've got it running a Raspberry Pi. This is a Model 3A Plus, and I've added some relays to show that it actually has enough power to control a few things and a mains input.
It takes a universal mains input, so you can run this from 115V or 230V AC. This one has a 5V output, naturally, but it's also available with 3.3V, 12V, 15V, or 24V outputs.
I built it onto a DIN rail based system to show that you could use it for an industrial application, so that we can show how much power there is from this little, tiny power supply to do a realistic demonstration.
