The DIN rail is an industry-standard rack mounting system that is widespread in industrial control and electrical equipment cabinets. The dimensions of the TS35 metal mounting rail are defined by the EN 50022 standard, so any compatible equipment such as relays, connector blocks, and power supplies can be simply snapped into place, greatly saving on assembly time.
While the majority of DIN rail mounting power supplies are AC/DC converters, RECOM also offers a range of DC/DC power supplies from 15W up to 60W that are designed to be mounted on TS35 DIN rails and have screw connector terminals. They are complete power units with built-in EMC filters, inrush current limiting, protective fuses, output trim adjustments, and a power indicator LED, with fully short circuit protected outputs. A remote on/off control input allows the power module to be remotely turned on or off. The input voltage includes standard nominal supply voltages of 12V, 24V, or 48V with 2:1 ranges, as well as more universal 4:1 wide input versions. The power modules are fully encased to protect against accidental short circuits in a crowded electrical cabinet and include integrated heatsinking for reliable thermal performance.
