This year, we begin with Thailand, through the organization “One Tree Planted”. Since 2014, this organization has planted over 100 million trees in 80 countries by making it a breeze for both corporations and individuals to pitch in on reforestation efforts. The team shares a snapshot of progress as seeds sprout into thriving trees, giving partners an up-close look into how their funds transform saplings into lush forests.
“Wherever we have an ecological footprint, we have a responsibility to support the local biodiversity of those communities,” says Karsten Bier, RECOM CEO. “Instead of turning a blind eye to environmental effects of manufacturing, we’re honing in. We aim to help the new regions we enter flourish far into the future.”
The Thailand program has two branches. First, our efforts will help restore watersheds for residents and wildlife. Secondly, our donations support sustainable agroforestry for over 1,000 smallholder farmers in the region. By collaborating with communities where we operate, we are not only contributing to environmental preservation but also supporting local economies.
