Power Supply Features & Performance

The RACPRO1-T240, -T480, and -T960 series feature a universal AC and DC input voltage range from 3x320V to 3x575V AC & 430V to 850VDC, available in power classes of 240W, 480W, and 960W.

The RACPRO1-T power supplies achieve up to 97.1% efficiency, allowing for high power density in a compact design. They are available in widths of 43mm, 52mm, and 80mm. With low power losses, they offer a service life exceeding 80,000 hours.

Installation & Usability

The push-in terminals feature a unique ergonomic design and a 25° angle for easy, tool-free operation. These maintenance-free terminals, along with the thoughtfully designed DIN rail mounting clips, allow for quick installation and removal without the need for tools.

Durability & Environmental Suitability

With surge immunity up to 6kV at the input and reverse voltage protection over 35V at the output, these devices are built for demanding environments. Their extended temperature range of -40°C to +70°C makes them ideal for harsh industrial settings and outdoor applications, especially in renewable energy.

Thermal Management: Chimney Effect

The chimney effect occurs where a vertical column of warm air rises creating a natural draught that can significantly lower the internal temperature of hot components.

The clever design of the RECOM RACPRO1 DIN-rail mount power supplies incorporates two separate through flue-channels to take full advantage of the chimney effect to offer 100% power operation at up to 60°C ambient temperature.

RACPRO1-4SP e-Fuse Series

The RACPRO1-4SP series are 4-channel electronic fuse (e-Fuse) load switches designed to provide independent overcurrent protection for each channel. They include real-time current monitoring and LED status indicators to simplify diagnostics. Each channel operates independently, ensuring system reliability even when faults occur. The design incorporates sequential power-up to limit inrush current and reverse-sequence shutdown to prioritize essential loads. Adjustable overload modes allow for flexible system configuration.

These e-Fuses support 5A or 10A per channel, with a 150% power boost for up to 5 seconds to handle temporary load surges. For short-duration overcurrent events, the device can sustain 150% overload for up to 120ms, reducing unnecessary tripping.

Built to LPS installation standards, they ensure high reliability with a >80,000-hour lifetime expectancy at 40°C. Installation is streamlined with tool-free push-in terminals and paired input/output connectors, making wiring and Daisy Chaining across multiple modules quick and efficient.

Industrial applications of RACPRO1

The load indicators on the T480 and T960 allow you to quickly determine the appropriate unit for each application. Both units enable you to select between a constant current (CC) mode for tasks like battery-charging applications and a load sharing mode for parallel operation.

In parallel mode, you can connect two or three T480s or T960s in parallel to double or triple their current delivery capability, respectively. With no-load power consumption ranging from 1W for the T240 to 3W for the T480 and T960, these power supplies minimize energy waste, making them more efficient during standby and no-load conditions.

REDIIN series AC/DC DIN rail power supplies

The cost-effective REDIIN series AC/DC DIN rail power supplies from RECOM support a 90-264VAC input range with power ratings of 120W, 240W, and 480W, housed in compact 30mm, 40mm, and 56mm widths, respectively. They offer single outputs of 24V and 48VDC, with the 120W variant also available in 12VDC, all adjustable from the module’s front panel.

These power supplies include comprehensive protection and hold IEC/EN/UL/CSA 62368-1 and 61010-1 safety certifications, while also meeting EMC standards EN 55032/35 and EN 61204-3, including EN 61000-6-4 Class B emission stantards for heavy industrial environments. They operate within a -30°C to +50°C range, with functionality up to +70°C under derating and startup capability at -40°C.
