New organization strengthens dedicated expertise for ICs and automation while working closely with RECOM’s existing global Sales network.

RECOM has established new Global IC and Automation Business Units in Vienna, effective October 1, 2026. The new organization is designed to support the further development of RECOM’s IC´s and automation activities by combining dedicated expertise with the strengths and market knowledge of its existing regional Sales teams and experts.

The new business units are headed by Markus Gugerbauer, who joined RECOM as Head of Global ICs and Automation on October 1. In his new role, Gugerbauer will lead the expansion of RECOM’s global IC and automation activities and work closely with regional and territory teams, customers and partners.

“With more than 30 years of experience in the Semiconductor Industry and 22 years with Texas Instruments, I have worked with different sales models — from direct sales to distribution and built strong relationships with customers and partners around the world. Utilizing this experience to further scale RECOM’s growth and future success is what motivates me and my team. What I like about RECOM is their long-term vison to change the power architecture and the speed of execution to remove boundaries within the Power Industry to serve the engineering community. Within 3 years a world class Automation portfolio has been introduced to the industry as well as a fast growing semiconductor portfolio with complementary transformer solutions — unique in the semiconductor industry, and with RECOM’s broad portfolio of modular solutions, my team and I can´t wait to leverage our expertise at full scale.”, says Markus Gugerbauer Head of Global IC’s and Automation at RECOM.

The new organization will work closely with RECOM’s existing regional Sales teams, while specialized resources from across the company will support its IC and automation activities. Product Management will also become more closely involved in sales execution, customer support and project development.

With the new structure, RECOM aims to combine specialized IC and automation expertise with its established global Sales organization, providing a coordinated approach to customers and supporting the continued development of these areas worldwide.
