Rooting for the Planet: RECOM Supports the Planting of 700 Trees

Winter forest landscape
What a year! For every lead we received on our European trade show tour this year, we’re donating funds to support tree-planting projects. We received a record number of business cards this year, allowing us to support the planting of over 700 trees.

Our team at RECOM was thrilled to meet with our customers and new friends from around the globe. We exhibited at Embedded World (March), PCIM (May), LOGIMAT (June), Innotrans (September), and electronica (November). From Nuremberg to Berlin, Germany proved to be a thriving hub for electronics industry leaders in 2022.

We always appreciate the opportunity to meet face to face. At the same time, we recognize that international and regional travel has an environmental impact. This inspired us to complement our trade show activities with a tree-planting initiative—an idea that would grow alongside the connections we made with you throughout the year.

“For nearly 50 years, RECOM has been at the forefront of the power supply industry. Our engineering team is always exploring new ways to support renewable energy applications,” says Steve Roberts, Innovation Manager. “We were excited to contribute in a new way this year—especially a way that reflects our appreciation for our customers, present and future!”

Supporting Reforestation Through Tree Planting

Trees absorb carbon dioxide from the atmosphere as they grow and store carbon in their biomass. Tree-planting and reforestation projects can therefore contribute to restoring forested areas and supporting local ecosystems.

Through its tree-planting initiative, RECOM supports reforestation projects in 28 countries. These projects focus on restoring areas affected by human activity and natural events and supporting the development of local ecosystems.

Looking Ahead: Our Environmental Initiatives

Our tree-planting initiative is one part of RECOM’s broader environmental activities. At the same time, we continue to expand our portfolio with power solutions for railway applications and DC/DC converters for renewable energy applications, including solar energy systems.
